If you know addition, subtraction and Multiplication properly, then you no need to memorize of any formulas, you can simply derive on your own and verify it effectively, this way you will not make any mistakes while doing it. here I’ve just used (a+b) and derived the possible formulas, once you derived it, you can apply numbers to this formulas and get the results directly instead of solving each & every steps.
